Breed clubs have a chance to organize their specialty show in connection with World Dog Show 2025. Many breed clubs are going to use this opportunity.

The World Dog Show 2025, held at Messukeskus from 8 to 10 August, received positive feedback from both domestic and international exhibitors and the public. The Circuit Shows special show day on 7 August was also successful. Dog welfare issues provoked discussion during the event.

The international World Dog Show will be held next time in Europe in 2020. The dog show will be organised by the Spanish Royal Canine Society (RSCE) on 23–26 April 2020 at an amazing venue in Madrid. The digital system for the entries and the online result service of the dog show will be offered by the Finnish Kennel Club’s subsidiary companies Showlink Oy and Prettybit Projects Oy. The chairs of the Finnish Kennel Club’s Board and the RSCE Board agreed on the matter on 16 August 2018 in Brussels in connection with the FCI Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting.

Welcome to the FCI World Dog Show 2025 in Helsinki on 8th–10th August 2025! The list of judges for the show and the Circuit Shows organized on 7th August 2025 have been published.

Best in Show at the Finnish Winner Show, Voittaja 2021, was Reijo Portala’s Scottish Terrier Quaint Sherry Perry. The breeder of the dog is also Reijo Portala. Best in Show judge was Marja Talvitie.

Finland will have the honour of hosting the first FCI Obedience World Championship in history on 28th–29th September 2024. The competition takes place in Royal Canin Areena in Lieto, a town within close proximity to Turku.

Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen Black Majesty Some Say owned and bred by Iva Raič from Croatia, has been chosen as the Best in Show dog at the World Dog Show 2025 in Helsinki. The Winner was selected by judge Harri Lehkonen.
