Five dog shows at Koiramessut – Dog Fair Finland bring more than 19,000 dogs to Messukeskus, Expo and Convention Centre Helsinki on 2nd–4th December. At Dog Fair Finland, you can learn about different dog breeds and activities with dogs as well as do some Christmas shopping.

The FCI European Dog Show 2018 was held on 11th–14th October in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. More than 15,000 dogs from all over Europe, including several Finnish dogs, took part in the four-day event.  

A project that has been going on for several years, aiming to map the history of registrations of Finnish Spitz, has resulted in significant results, also in international context. Pedigree data of Finland’s national breed, going all the way back to the 19th Century, can now be reviewed in the Finnish Kennel Club’s Breeding Database.

More than 15,000 dogs were seen in Messukeskus, Expo and Convention Centre Helsinki over the weekend in dog shows, breed presentations, and presentations on different dog sports. Koiramessut – Dog Fair Finland offered lots of programme for the whole family. Government Working Dogs of the Year and Hero Dogs were awarded at the fair, as per tradition.

More than 19,000 dogs came to Messukeskus, Expo and Convention Centre Helsinki to take part in the five dog shows, breed presentations, and presentations of different dog sports at Dog Fair Finland. The fair offered versatile programme for the whole family. Government Working Dogs of the Year as well as Hero Dogs were awarded at the fair.

The Finnish Kennel Club has approved a breed crossbreeding project for the Finnish Pug Club, aimed at improving the health of Pugs by crossbreeding them with so‑called Retro Pugs.
