A strike that affects mail delivery will begin on Monday, 11th November and continue until Sunday, 24th November. The main Finnish postal service Posti estimates that the delivery of letters and magazines will be interrupted and that the delays could last for weeks. This also affects services of the Finnish Kennel Club and Showlink Oy, as well as deliveries related to Koiramessut – Dog Fair Finland.
Best in Show at the Finnish Winner Show, Voittaja 2021, was Reijo Portala’s Scottish Terrier Quaint Sherry Perry. The breeder of the dog is also Reijo Portala. Best in Show judge was Marja Talvitie.
Veterinary service provider Evidensia Eläinlääkäripalvelut and the Finnish Kennel Club have made a cooperation agreement regarding veterinary services at fair and dog show event Koiramessut – Dog Fair Finland 2018. Evidensia also has its own stand at Dog Fair Finland.

Fairness, encouraging and courteous behaviour, responsibility and taking into account the well-being of dogs — these practices are undoubtedly things everyone can strive for. These good practices have been recorded in the Finnish Kennel Club’s Code of Conduct, which entered into force on 1 January 2025.
The Borgarting Court of Appeal in Norway stated in its decision on 18th November 2022 that breeding of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels is against the Norwegian Animal Welfare Act, whereas breeding of English Bulldog may continue. The Finnish Kennel Club sees that breed bans are not the best way to improve the health and well-being of dogs.
The international World Dog Show will be held next time in Europe in 2020. The dog show will be organised by the Spanish Royal Canine Society (RSCE) on 23–26 April 2020 at an amazing venue in Madrid. The digital system for the entries and the online result service of the dog show will be offered by the Finnish Kennel Club’s subsidiary companies Showlink Oy and Prettybit Projects Oy. The chairs of the Finnish Kennel Club’s Board and the RSCE Board agreed on the matter on 16 August 2018 in Brussels in connection with the FCI Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting.
