Koiramessut - Dog Fair Finland attracted 36,000 visitors in total to Messukeskus, Expo and Convention Centre Helsinki over the weekend. Best in Show at the Finnish Winner show Voittaja 2019 was Norrbottenspitz Washaway Pink Bollinger, owners Auli Näsi and Esko Uusitalo, breeder Kati Kilpeläinen-Turunen. Best in Show judge was Irina Poletaeva.

Helsinki hosted the third meeting of eight European Kennel Clubs on 6th–7th September. The agenda of the meeting was about the current situation of the kennel clubs, the impact of animal welfare legislation in the participating countries, and co-operation in promoting health and welfare of dogs.  

People's Christmas includes a variety of treats, flowers and decorations that can be dangerous for dogs. However, for dogs, spending time together is the most important thing during the Christmas holidays. We want to remind every dog owner to spend a safe Christmas with their dog. 

The Papillon male Planet Waves Forever Young Daydream Believers was Best in Show at Helsinki Winner 2019. The dog is bred by Kathleen Roosens and owned by Kathleen Roosens, Goessens, and Ottosson. The Best in Show judge was Svend Løvenkjær from Denmark. 6,146 dogs took part in Helsinki Winner 2019 dog show and 936 puppies in Helsinki Winner Puppy Show.

More than 15,000 dogs were seen in Messukeskus, Expo and Convention Centre Helsinki over the weekend in dog shows, breed presentations, and presentations on different dog sports. Koiramessut – Dog Fair Finland offered lots of programme for the whole family. Government Working Dogs of the Year and Hero Dogs were awarded at the fair, as per tradition.
