Koiramessut - Dog Fair Finland offers information and experiences at Messukeskus for everyone interested in dogs
The Finnish Kennel Clubs’ Dog Fair Finland at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre on 6–7 December, you can get to know different dog breeds and hobbies with dogs, watch dog shows and, among other things, the awarding of hero and service dogs.
During the weekend, four dog shows will be held at Messukeskus. In addition, the fair has a diverse programme for the whole family.
More than 30 different breed associations will present their breeds at the Breed Plaza in the main hall of the fair. At the Finnish Kennel Club's information stage, you can get advice on getting and caring for a dog. There are also breed presentations on the stage.
In the event ring of the main hall, you can get acquainted with various dog hobbies, such as flyball, ball herding, dog dancing and nosework. The Dog Fair Finland also offers tips on dog activation and nose work.
The Finnish Kennel Club's companion and reading dogs as well as youth activities will participate in the fair with their own stands. A popular Plush toy dog competition will be held for the youngest members of the family on both days of the fair at 12 noon. On Saturday, the judge of the competition will be "The Dog" and on Sunday, "The Forest Fairy".
At the fair, you will also find dozens of dog equipment sellers and brands, so the event is a great place to do Christmas shopping.
The Arena at Messukeskus will feature a programme every day, such as various awards, performances and, at the end of the day, the exciting finals of dog shows. On both days, the arena will host a short play for dogs, a dobo show, a hobby show and a retriever show.
Starting at 2.30 p.m., the Working Dogs of the Year of the Police, the Defence Forces, the Border Guard, the Criminal Sanctions Agency and Customs will be awarded at the Arena.
The Finnish Kennel Club annually awards the title of Hero Dog to dogs that have made a significant contribution to saving one or more lives. This year, 13 dogs will receive the title of Hero Dog. The Hero Dogs will be awarded at the Arena on Sunday from 13:00.

On Saturday, 6 December, the Dog Fair Finland will host the Nordic Helsinki Winner 2025 show and the Helsinki Winner Puppy Show puppy show. On Sunday 7.12., it is the turn of the international Winner 2025 show and the Winner Puppy Show puppy show.
Dogs of 349 different breeds can be seen in the show rings. Dogs from 16 different countries are present. Most foreign dogs arrive from Sweden, Estonia and Norway.
Special attention will be paid to the well-being of the dogs at the event. Everyone who brings their dog to shows has been reminded of these things in the information sign's letter at the shows. Voluntary dog welfare advisors trained by the Finnish Kennel Club help and advise dog owners at the show. They are awarding the event's best prizes, the Nice Dog Team bows, to dog owners they meet, whose dogs clearly seem to be having a nice, stress-free day at the show.
The judging of dogs in show rings begins at 9 a.m. and the competition finals at 4 p.m.
There is programme for the public at Dog Fair Finland from 9 am to 5 pm. The stands are open daily from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. The event is subject to a fee. Buy your tickets here!
