Official health examinations refer to examinations conducted in accordance with the instructions approved by the Finnish Kennel Club and stored in the Finnish Kennel Club’s breeding database. In addition to the official results, health information of dogs experiencing symptoms of the said diseases or dogs that have been operated or put down because of the said diseases may be stored in the database.

The Finnish Kennel Club's anti-doping control is based on the animal welfare law. All official dog shows, competitions and trials in Finland organised by the Finnish Kennel Club are under the scope of anti-doping control.
