Canine health and well-being are important goals in the Finnish Kennel Club’s operations. Dog breeders and dog owners can promote these matters by utilising the information from veterinarians, academics and other experts. There are also many tools for promoting canine health, such as health surveys and information about the hereditary aspects of canine health issues.

The Finnish Kennel Club supports responsible canine breeding. High-quality canine breeding and Finnish dogs are well-known in Finland as well as outside our borders. Work for the benefit of dogs has been done for a long time. Responsible breeders cherish the health and well-being of dogs.

These good practices have been recorded in the Finnish Kennel Club’s Code of Conduct, which entered into force on 1 January 2025.
