Smooth Collie Clingstone’s Make My Day was chosen as Best in Show at the Nordic Winner Show 2017 held in Messukeskus, Expo and Convention Centre Helsinki last Saturday. The dog is bred and owned by Satu Asikainen. The Best in Show judge was Kari Järvinen.

Judge Marja Talvitie chose the Finnish Spitz Loukkaharjun Lapinukko, owned by Päivi Silomäki and Toivo and Anni Lielahti, as Best in Show Veteran. The Best in Show Breeder's Group was Satu Asikainen’s Clingstone’s Smooth Collies, the judge was Irina Poletaeva.

The Best Nordic Breed was also chosen at the show. This competition was won by the Karelian Bear Dog Rohmoivan Ava, owned by Maria Kärnä and Maija and Rauno Ahola. The winner was appointed by judge Paavo Mattila.

Team Iceland won the Nordic Championship competition in Junior Handling

The Nordic Championship competition in Junior Handling was also held at Dog Fair Finland. Teams of four from each Nordic country participated in the competition. Talented young handlers competed of both individual and team championship. Iceland’s team won the competition. The winner of the individual competition was Bergling Gunnarsdottir, also from Iceland. The competition was judged by Jason Lynn from the United Kingdom.


Best in Show at Nordic Winner 2017 was the Smooth Collie Clingstone's Make My Day, owned and bred by Satu Asikainen. The Best in Show competition was judged by Kari Järvinen.
