CLASSES
Puppy Class,  7 - under 9 months
Junior Class, 9 - under 18 months
Intermediate Class, 15 - under24months
Open Class, from 15 months
Working Class, from 15 months (a proof of entitlement must be enclosed with the entry form, WCC)
Champion CLass, from 15 months (a proof of entitlement must be enclosed with the entry form)
Veteran CLass, from 8 years
Breeders Class, For groups of four dogs of the same breed and variety, bred by the same breeder, minimum of two different combinations.

Please note, that the age is calculated to the previous day to the opening of the show.

Puppy class

Unofficial class, no grading, placing from 1 to 4, honorary prize may be given, the best dog puppy and bitch puppy with honorary prize compete for the Best Puppy of the Breed.

Junior class
9-under 18 months, do not compete for CACIB, but compete for CAC and BOB.

Intermediate class

15-under 24 months, compete for CAC, CACIB and BOB.

Open class
15 months onwards, compete for CAC, CACIB and BOB.

Working class

15 months onwards, a Working Class Certificate must be enclosed with the entry form. If the certificate is missing, the dog will be automatically entered in "Open Class". Compete for CAC, CACIB and BOB.

Champion Class
15 months onwards, for International or National Champions, a copy of this certificate must be enclosed with the entry form. If the certificate is missing, the dog will be automatically entered in "Open Class".
Compete for CAC (if not already Finnish Champion / merits for the Finnish Champion title), CACIB and BOB.

Veteran Class
8 years onwards, do not compete for CACIB but compete for CAC and BOB. The best veteran dog and bitch awarded "excellent" will compete for the Best Veteran of the Breed.

Best Dog/Best Bitch competition
The placed (1-4) dogs in the junior, intermediate, open, champion, working and veteran with ”excellent” may participate. The four best dogs/bitches are placed. CAC/CC can only be given to junior or intermediate class dogs that have received the qualification “excellent” and been placed in the junior or intermediate class, OR to open, working or veteran class dogs that have received the qualification ”excellent” and been placed in the respective classes but do not yet have the merits for the champion title. The reserve-CAC/CC can be given to the second best dog (with ”excellent”) that does not yet have the merits for the champion title. CACIB and reserve CACIB is similar to CAC/CC competition, junior or veteran class dogs can’t compete for the CACIB/reserve-CACIB, no other restrictions

Best of Breed (BOB)
The Best of Breed is chosen After the Best Dog/Best Bitch competition; only the best dog and the best bitch may participate.

Breeders' group
For groups of four dogs of the same breed and variety, bred by the same breeder, minimum of two different combinations. Dogs have to be graded "excellent" or "very good" at the show. In each breed four best groups will be placed in order of merit and the best group with honorary prize will compete for the Best Group of the Day.

Gradings
The following gradings are to be awarded:
Excellent – pink ribbon
Very Good – red ribbon
Good – blue ribbon
Sufficient – yellow ribbon
Disqualified – grey ribbon
Cannot be judged – brown ribbon

Placing

The four best dogs of each class will be placed if graded at least "very good". Only the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th places will be awarded.

Best in Group (BIG)

The Best of Breed will take part in the Group Competitions in separate FCI groups. Four dogs will be placed.

Best in Show (BIS)
All the Group Winners will take part in Best in Show. Four dogs will be placed.

Breeders' Group
All the Best Breeders Groups of the Breed will compete together on the respective day. Four groups will be placed.

Best in Show Veteran

All the Best Veterans of the Breed will compete together on the respective day. Four veterans will be placed.


GENERAL INFORMATION

Double-handling is not permitted in any form at all. In case of infringement, the dogs concerned may be disqualified.

It is forbidden to use any substances that affect the colour, form and structure of the coat, nose and skin. Please note our Antidoping regulations!

All the dogs that are participating at the show must be either microchipped with Indexel/Lifechip- or Datamars –microchip or tattooed. If the dog is microchipped with other than Indexel/Lifechip- or Datamars –microchip, the exhibitor has to have a scanner with.

Cropped and docked dogs
Dogs born before 1.1.2001 can be shown in both shows and competitions, even if cropped and docked, no matter the origin. This includes Finnish bred dogs. Cropped and docked dogs born after 1.1.2001 are not permitted to compete in shows and competitions.

According to the decision of the Finnish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, cropped and docked dogs are allowed to participate in the European and World Dog Shows held in Finland.
